Summer Anime Season 2012   Leave a comment

Well it appears that the list for the Summer Season is out. This season seems to be composed of mostly sequels and the rest being new series from manga’s or light novels. It seems that I’ll be watching a lot of shows but out of the many shows I’m watching I’ll blog between 2-4 shows from the Summer Season. I will mention a few anime that are carrying on from the Spring Season are, Accel World, Arashi no Yoru ni: Himitsu no Tomodachi, Card Fight Vanguard: Asia Circuit-hen, Danball Senki W, Eureka Seven Ao, Ginga he Kick-off, Gon, Hunter x Hunter, Hyouka, Jewelpet Kira☆Deko, Kuroko no Baske, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full Power Ninden, Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle, Pretty Rhythm: Dear my Future, Sengoku Collection, SKET DANCE and Smile Precure. Anyway if you want to get the entire Winter listing please go to MOON PHASE alternatively if you want the specific airtimes check out synobi’s calendar (though be warned its in Japanese), finally if you want to know who is fansubbing which anime go to Fansub Wiki’s Page. I will now tell you a few of the anime’s on the Autumn/Fall Season I will omit the kids shows but they’ll be in the table I just won’t give any information besides that, I will also mention the long running shows that have been airing for a while minus One Piece.

Quick side note: In japan the time is given in 24-hour, relative time format which technically means the times are extended to show which day they primarily belong too. So for example, Thursday morning at 2:00am would become Wednesday 26:00 to show that the episode aired late Wednesday night. Before I forget I’m from the United Kingdom so I write the date differently from Americans and Japanese i.e. date, month, year 02/01/2012.

Ten years ago, a gigantic demon beast known as the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox was released from its jinchūriki by an unknown shinobi wearing a mask. The village of Konohagakure was close to destruction by the attack of the Nine-Tails, but the village was saved by its leader. Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina Uzumaki — who was the jinchūriki at the time of the attack — sealed away the demon inside their new born son: Naruto Uzumaki. However, this act of saving the village cost them their lives and they left the future of the ninja world to Naruto. With the demon fox sealed away, things continued as normal. However, the peace of the village would not last long, for Pain, Konan, Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, Sasori, Deidara, Hidan and Kakuzu — members of a dreaded shinobi group called the Akatsuki — attacked Konohagakure. Naruto narrowly manages to launch a counter-attack but why have these shinobi appeared when all of them were meant to have died? The mystery remains, but the shinobi are praised by heir families for completing such a dangerous mission. However, one of them who has never known the faces of his parents, Naruto, cannot help but feel lonely. At that exact time, suddenly, the masked man makes his appearance in Konoha. Naruto and his allies are both attacked by the man’s mysterious new dōjutsu.
