Autumn Anime Season 2010   Leave a comment

Well there’s about three weeks of the Summer Season yet and it appears that the list for the Fall/Autumn Season is out…  This season seems to be composed of some sequels and the rest being new series from manga’s or light novels… It seems that I’ll be watching at least 10 shows but out of the 10 I’ll blog probably 5 shows from the Fall/Autumn Season… However as usual there will be one that I will definitely not be blogging and that is Pokémon: Best Wishes I have nothing against the show I just don’t find it all that interesting anymore… I will mention a few anime that are carrying on from the Summer Season, Nurarihyon no Mago, Shiki, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes & Amagami SS… Anyway if you want to get the entire Fall/Autumn listing please go to MOON PHASE alternatively if you want the specific airtimes check out synobi’s calendar (though be warned its in japanese), finally if you want to know who is fansubbing which anime go to Fansub Wiki’s Page. I will now tell you a few of the anime’s on the Autumn Season I will omit the kids shows but they’ll be in the table I just won’t give any information besides that.

Quick side note: In japan the time is given in 24-hour, relative time format which technically means the times are extended to show which day they primarily belong too.  So for example, Thursday morning at 2:00am would become Wednesday 26:00 to show that the episode aired late Wednesday night. Before I forget I’m from the United Kingdom so I write the date differently from Americans and Japanese i.e. date, month, year 6/7/2010.

I have decided to do these a little bit differently so I have done it in a table format and have split the OVA and Anime into separate tables please tell me what you think of the new design and if its easier to understand then the previous design. I have also added the shows that have been on a while minus One Piece.

Synopsis: Keima Katsuragi, a second-year high school student, is an avid dating sim gamer. He is known on the Internet as “The Capturing God” for his legendary skills to be able to “capture” any 2D girl in games. However, in his actual school life, Keima is known as otamegane, a derogatory portmanteau of the two words otaku (オタク) and megane (メガネ-“glasses”).
At the start of the series, Keima receives an e-mail offering him a contract to “capture” girls. He accepts what is thought to be a challenge, and a demon from Hell nicknamed Elsee appears. She asks for his cooperation to help her in catching the runaway spirits. These spirits hide themselves inside the girl’s heart, and Elsee suggests that the only method to force the spirits out is by “capturing” their hearts—making them fall in love. Appalled by the idea, Keima refuses after clarifying to Elsee that he is only interested in “capturing” 2D girls and that he detests reality. Nevertheless, with the contract already accepted, Keima would have to help Elsee no matter what; if they fail, both Elsee and Keima would lose their heads.

Synopsis: Kyōsuke Kōsaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high school student, hasn’t gotten along with his younger sister, Kirino, in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyōsuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever.
One day, however, Kyōsuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Hoshikuzu Witch Merle (Stardust Witch Merle), which had fallen into the entranceway of his house. To Kyōsuke’s surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imouto to Koishiyo! (Love with Little Sister!). Kyōsuke attempts to fish out the culprit who dropped the case by bringing up the topic of magical girl anime at the family dinner table. All that comes out is a strong negative reaction from his parents, especially his anti-otaku policeman father.
That night, Kirino bursts into Kyōsuke’s room and, in perhaps the first conversation she has initiated with him in years, says they “have things to talk about.” Kirino brings Kyōsuke to her room and shows him an extensive collection of moe anime and lolicon bishoujo games she has been collecting in secret.
